Was Adventure French really created with Homeschoolers in mind?

Yes, it absolutely was! If anyone knows about the struggles in finding good homeschooling curriculums, it's Adventure French. Peter Groth, the creator and instructor for Adventure French, was homeschooled from kindergarden all the way through high school, and he experienced firsthand the difficulty in trying to find a quality foreign language program for homeschoolers! He designed this course specifically with you in mind because he knows what you're going through. Even our website was designed by a former homeschooler! When we say that Adventure French was created for homeschoolers by a homeschooler, we really mean it.

When I have questions during the lessons, can I recieve help?

Even though we are extremely confident that you will be able to understand each and every section of this program, if you ever get confused or have questions about what you're learning, don't panic! Adventure French offers many ways to get the answers you're looking for. The fastest way to get an answer to your question is to go to the "Adventure French Forum!" Here you can converse with other students who are currently using the program. In addition, Peter Groth makes himself available on the French Forum twice a week to answer any questions directly. If other French students can't help you, and Peter is not available, you can always email your question to us by filling out the Form found on the "Contact Us" page. We will respond to your question by email or phone call within 48 hours.

In addition, each week we choose a question asked by one of our students and post it online at the "Adventure French Forum." We will then explain in detail what the answer is, in an attempt to help other students learn.

Why can't I just buy the "Discovering French Nouveau" book and learn French myself?

There is nothing stopping you from purchasing the McDougal Littell series "Discovering French Nouveau!" In fact, if you do decide to purchase the book on your own, you can still use our website as a resource tool. However, you will be missing the most important key to the Adventure French Program; the video instruction portion of each lesson. Each chapter of the book is accompanied by a 20-25 minute French video tutorial given by Peter Groth. This tutorial is designed to expand what is learned in each section of study. In addition to gaining the additional knowledge and tools necessary to learn French, each video enables students to "Hear" how the french language is spoken and "See" someone actually speaking it, as opposed to simply reading about it. Remember, Adventure French is a "Complete" French Language Program that teaches homeschoolers how to speak fluent French.
